How to know which investors or buyers are most interested in your deck
The readers most likely to say yes come back to your deck after days of silence, read it to the end, and bring a colleague from the same firm. ArtifactSend's Analytics page ranks your readers on exactly those signals across every document, says why for each, and puts an Email button next to each name.
The short answer
An open tells you very little. Many opens are a quick look, a forward to an analyst, or your own preview. Interest shows in what people do after the first look.
- They come back after a silence. A return two or more days later usually means your deck came up in a meeting.
- They read to the end, or spend real time on the pages that matter, like the market, the team or the numbers.
- Someone else at the same firm opens it. A deck passed around inside is being considered.
- They copy text, click your links or ask the document questions.
- They read it more than once in a week.
Who to follow up with, ranked for you
ArtifactSend's Analytics page puts these signals together across every document you have shared. Follow up now lists your named readers in order. A return after days of silence counts most, then time spent, reading to the end, several documents, copies and clicks, and colleagues reading. Each name shows why, such as Came back after 8 days or 2 colleagues also reading, and the document they spent the most time on.
Each row has an Email button. People who are not prospects, such as your own other address or a co-investor, can be hidden in one click. Colleagues at your own company are left out automatically.
See when a firm is passing it around
Teams reading groups readers by their work email's company. When two or more people at one firm read your deck, it shows there, with their names and total time. That is often the moment a partner meeting is being prepared.
Know when to nudge
How soon they open measures the time from sharing a document to its first real read. Once you have shared a few, it tells you your own normal wait, so you know when silence has gone on too long. When they read shows the weekday and hours your readers actually read, in each reader's own time, so you can send when your deck will be read.
Both wait for enough data before they say anything, so a handful of reads never turns into advice.
Ask a question in plain words
Once 20 people have read your documents, Insights answers questions about them, such as which firms read the financials, where readers stop, or who came back this week. The first 3 questions are free, then each is $0.10.
