The free alternative to DocSend and Papermark, feature by feature

The short answer
ArtifactSend gives you for free what DocSend, Papermark, Peony and Digify put on paid plans: email verification, allow lists, data rooms with folders, an NDA, a watermark with each reader's email, team members and branding for $2 a month. It also does things the others do not list, such as live Claude artifacts, a replay of each visit, and asking Claude or ChatGPT who read your document.
It does not do everything yet. There are no eSignatures, no video, no custom domain, no password or download switch, no per-folder access in data rooms and no Slack or CRM integration. Those are on our roadmap, listed at the end of this page. If you need one of them today, the table shows which tool has it and what it costs.

What you pay for a team of five
- ArtifactSend: $0 a year. Members are free. AI features cost cents by use, and the first 20 Claude or ChatGPT actions are free.
- DocSend Standard: about $1,800 a year at $30 per user a month. Email verification, NDA and watermark need Advanced at $150 a month.
- Papermark Business: 59 euros a month for 3 members plus paid extra seats. NDA and watermark need Data Rooms at 99 euros a month.
- Peony Business: about $1,800 a year at $30 per admin a month. The watermark needs the Data Room plan at $52 per admin.
- Digify Team: $350 a month for 3 users.

- eSignatures. DocSend, Papermark and Peony include them on paid plans.
- Video with analytics. Most rivals track video on paid plans.
- Your own domain. Links on your domain instead of artifactsend.com.
- Password, download and screenshot controls. Today the email code, the watermark and the expiry cover most of this.
- Per-folder access and a Q and A thread in data rooms. Today a room has one door, and each person can get their own link.
- Slack, CRM and Zapier. Today Claude and ChatGPT read your reports through the MCP.
