How to share a Claude artifact with people who don't use Claude
Claude asks everyone who opens a shared artifact to have a Claude account, and sharing inside a company needs a Team or Enterprise plan. To share with people who don't use Claude, paste the artifact's link into ArtifactSend and send the link you get. It opens in any browser with no Claude account, it is free, and you see who read it.
The short answer
Claude's share link works for people who have Claude. Your teammates, clients and investors may not, and they should not need a subscription to read one report.
Paste the artifact's claude.ai link into ArtifactSend, or ask Claude to send it with the ArtifactSend connector. You get a link that opens in any browser, on a laptop or a phone. You choose the door, such as an email code or your company's domain, and you see who opened it and how far they read.
Does the viewer need a Claude account?
Yes, for a link shared from Claude. Claude's help center says everyone needs a Claude account, and people without one cannot open a shared artifact, even with the link.
The exception is a legacy chat artifact that you publish on Free, Pro, Max or Ultra. Anyone with that link can view it without an account, and needs one only for parts that use Claude.
An ArtifactSend link never asks for a Claude account. The reader passes the door you chose and sees the live artifact, with its buttons, charts and tabs working.
Which Claude plan do you need to share an artifact?
It depends on who you share with. Pro and Max share the same way. Sharing with your organization needs Team or Enterprise.

Do you need a Team plan to share with your team?
Only if your colleagues work in Claude too. On a Team plan, people in your organization can open the artifacts you share with them, and each of them uses a paid seat. For a team of five, standard seats cost $100 to $125 a month.
If your colleagues only need to read the artifact, they do not need seats. Share it through ArtifactSend with an allow list of your company domain, such as @yourcompany.com, and an email code or Google sign-in. Anyone at the company can open it, nobody outside can, and you see who read it.
Colleagues who send links too can join your ArtifactSend workspace for free and see the same reports.
Sharing with clients and investors outside your company
On Pro and Max, you can share Anyone with the link or invite up to 50 people by email. Each person still needs a Claude account at that address.
On Team and Enterprise, artifacts stay inside your organization by default. Anyone with the link works only when an Owner turns on external sharing or allows that artifact. Email invites to people outside are on by default for Team and off by default for Enterprise.
Artifacts that connect to your apps or use Claude cannot use Anyone with the link, according to the same help page.
A client or an investor rarely wants to make an account to read your memo. An ArtifactSend link asks only for what you choose, such as their email or a 6-digit code, and the report tells you when they opened it.
Share it with anyone, step by step
- In Claude, open the artifact, click Share and copy the link.
- Go to artifactsend.com, sign in and paste the link.
- Select Bring it in. ArtifactSend hosts the artifact, scripts and all.
- Choose a door. For teammates, add your company domain as an allow list. For a client or an investor, choose email code or Google sign-in.
- Copy your link and send it.
On Claude Free, or when an artifact cannot be shared by link, download the artifact in Claude and drop the file into ArtifactSend instead. The result is the same.
When you change the artifact in Claude, the link keeps in step with it, so readers always see the latest version.
