Can you see who viewed your Claude artifact?

Updated November 3, 2026. By Vela Partners.

No. Claude does not show who viewed a shared artifact, and its help center lists no view counts or analytics. To see who opened it, share the artifact through an ArtifactSend link. Each reader shows by email, with time per section and a replay of each visit.

Does Claude provide viewer analytics for published artifacts?

No. Claude's help page on sharing artifacts, which we read on November 3, 2026, does not mention view counts or analytics. A public feature request in the claude-code repository on GitHub asks for viewer analytics.

On Team and Enterprise plans, admins have audit logs. Those are for security reviews, not a reading report for the person who shared the artifact.

Who can see Claude artifacts?

Only you, until you share one. Claude's help center says people without a Claude account cannot open a shared artifact, even with the link.

The exception is a legacy chat artifact that you publish. Anyone with that link can view and use it without a Claude account.

Do Claude artifacts expire?

No. Shared artifact links do not expire. Pending email invitations expire after 30 days, and accepted invitations do not.

On ArtifactSend you set an expiry date for each link, and you can turn a link off and on again.

Can I keep Claude artifacts private?

Yes. Artifacts are private to you until you share them. To share privately, invite named people in Claude, or put the artifact behind an ArtifactSend link with an email code or an allow list.

How do I set an artifact's access to specific email addresses?

In Claude, click Share and invite people by email. Claude allows up to 50 people from outside your organization for each artifact, and each needs a Claude account at that address.

On ArtifactSend, add an allow list of emails or domains, such as @acme.com, and choose an email code or Google sign-in. Readers do not need a Claude account.

Can I revoke someone's access later?

Yes. In Claude, open the artifact, click Share and remove the person. Claude says this takes away their access right away. To stop sharing with everyone, choose Only you on Pro, Max and Ultra, or Only people invited on Team and Enterprise.

On ArtifactSend, remove the email from the allow list, set an expiry date, or turn the link off. For a published legacy artifact, Claude's Unpublish is permanent, and you cannot publish it again.

What happens to copies after a link is revoked?

Copies stay with whoever made them. Claude's help page does not say that revoking a link removes copies, and on some plans people can copy and save a published chat artifact.

No website can take back a copy. ArtifactSend keeps downloads off by default, can blur the page when the reader switches away, blocks printing and copying, and can watermark each page with the reader's email. If something is shared on, the watermark names the reader.

How to see who viewed it

  1. In Claude, share the artifact and copy its link.
  2. Paste the link into ArtifactSend and select Bring it in.
  3. Choose a door, such as an email code, and an allow list if you need one.
  4. Send the ArtifactSend link instead of the Claude link.
  5. Open the report to see each reader, time per section, clicks, copied text and a replay of each visit.

Or connect ArtifactSend to Claude and say "send this artifact with an email code door". To publish from an agent, connect the ArtifactSend MCP server at https://artifactsend.com/mcp, or run npx artifactsend setup. Every tool, setup step and limit is on artifactsend.com/agents.
