Share a Cursor-built prototype with a client for feedback
To share a Cursor prototype with a client, build it to static files and publish them as a private link. The client clicks through it in any browser, pins comments on the exact button they mean, and you see which screens they reached. ArtifactSend does this for free.
What's the easiest way to publish a Cursor prototype as a shareable link?
Ask Cursor to publish it. Run npx artifactsend setup once, then ask Cursor to send the prototype to ArtifactSend with an email door. It calls send_artifact and returns the link.
A prototype in one HTML file, or one React file with a default export, sends as it is. A prototype with a build step needs its built files.
- Build the prototype, for example with npm run build.
- Make sure the built page loads its files by relative path. In Vite, set base to ./ in the config.
- Zip the output folder, such as dist, and drop the zip into ArtifactSend. Or ask Cursor to send the page and its files.
- Choose a door. For one client, an email code or their company domain.
- Send the link.
ArtifactSend serves static pages. A prototype that needs its own server, database or API keys needs a host such as Vercel instead.
Can I share it without exposing my source code?
Yes, your repository stays private. The client gets the built page, not your project.
Like any web page, the browser does receive the built HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so a technical reader can look at that code. Keep keys and secrets out of the page.
How can I collect client feedback directly on the prototype?
With pinned comments. On an ArtifactSend link, the client clicks a spot and types. The comment stays on that element, you get an email, and you reply in the app.
Comments are free for everyone with the link. Ask Cursor to read them with list_comments, and fix what the client pinned.
How do I make it open without Cursor?
Publish the built files as a link. The client opens it in Chrome, Safari or any browser, on a laptop or a phone, and installs nothing.
You also see which screens they reached, what they clicked and a replay of each visit.
Send round two to the same link
Ask Cursor to update the link with the new build. The address stays the same and the comments stay with it.
Publish from your agent
To publish from an agent, connect the ArtifactSend MCP server at https://artifactsend.com/mcp, or run npx artifactsend setup. Every tool, setup step and limit is on artifactsend.com/agents.
